Annoyance

I am pretty sure annoyance isnt a word but at the moment I really cant be bothered looking for it up.

Heres everything I hate about our beautiful government.

The IR...COME ON SERIOUSLY...its the MOST riduclus thing the Howard government has come up with...I am at home because there is a strike on. Who does this really benefit other then the rich people. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer *rolls eyes*

The increase in council rates...OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD HOW MUCH WILL YOU SCAB OF US? Petrol prices, no security in jobs, interest rates and now COUNCIL RATES? you know you'll have much money if instead of taking VIP trips to Indonesia in your private jet you used that money for AUSTRALIANS!

The new laws on refugees...ARE YOU TOTALLY INSANE? what is with that? children in detention? stupid joke.

NUCLEAR?? Yes forget the fact that there is ALWAYS a leak at the only nuclear plant in sydney. Lucas Heights. Forget the fact that when Lucas Heights is mentioned I panic like crazy that something might have happened to them. Yea Chernobyl was a one off but Lucas Heights...its an everyday occurance.

The rail network....oh bugga, the trains are getting slower but THE FARES ARE GETTING HIGHER..someone explain why?

Oh and theres that last thing about the fact that private schools get more funding than public education, after 10 years of campagin last month my school was promised a library while schools that charge $17 000 get about $1.6 MILLION per year in funding.

Theres more but I cant think right now.

World Refugee Day

World Refugee Day at school went pretty well. By the end of the 10mintues that our speaker from Amnesty Int spoke for the school was hooked (or so we would like to think so) but yes the things she talked about was....distressing, got alot of people thinking though =D

Problems within Stand have died down as well..for now anyway. Apologies should only be made if they are sincere.
The Pizza Party for our offical launch was also good.

Power = Corruption.

Luxuries
Related to country: Australia

"We have a roof over our heads, 3 meals a day and can walk down the street without getting shot at or killed. 90% of the worlds population doesn't have these luxuries. That's how lucky we are to be Australians."

Guess we dont appreciate these things until we've seen the worst things imaginable.

Grey hairs

I hate to say it...but I have too much stuff to do.
Today I had 3 important meetings at school at the same time...tried to make it to all three but only managed one.
Had a job interview afterwards.
Had to run to post my letters because I dont get time on the weekends (family, friends etc) post office closed so bleh.

Tomrow I have to get started on my *breathes* photography assignment, both pictures and narratives and frames and all the other stuff and bother. Science assesment which is a pain because well it just is!.

The rest of the week...thursday and friday...
- get my famine group together
- Go to St.Johns
- Letters
- Look for a job that pays more than $6.50
- Start advocating about walk against want
- Stand meeting
- Ministry work

and worst of all .. I have a cold ...AGAIN!
argh stupid cold!!

I am overbooked....and [insert how I feel]

(P.S Lewis rocks)

Chapter Ends

"Goodbye" really is the worse thing that one has to say.
Past couple of says I have goodbyes to more than half the people I know, people who I wish I never met, people who I wish I never got close to.
I have made my own world with the people I want to be in it.
Every chapter has to end before another one can begin again and right now I need something new, a fresh start.

Ah wellz... Social Justice Group - now called "Stand"
Stand for what you belive in
Stand out and make a difference
Stand for changing the world.
Yea oaktrees Stand advocay.

The offical launch is on the 20th of June, which is also world refugee day.
Todays meeting was rather un-productive since we arent allowed to do the famine from school....but I shall find a way past it...hopefully.

Anyway
Thats enuff for now

Luv Ya'll
